- Programme et objectifs de la formation

Le programme se donne uniquement en anglais. Voici comment le site de l’ULB le décrit :

« The European Microfinance Programme (EMP) was launched in 2005 in response to a growing demand for training in development activities, particularly in microfinance. It seeks to train microfinance professionals from both the North and the South through a multidisciplinary approach. It aims to analyse, and in turn rationalise, the different perspectives on development issues in the microfinance sector. Students will learn the latest techniques used in developing countries by entrepreneurs in the field of microentreprise management. The programme will provide a solid theoretical base as well as practical knowledge, linked to the daily realities of microenterprise in the developing world. The microfinance sector is developing at a rapid pace creating a growing demand for experienced professionals within microfinance and credit institutions, banks and development investment funds in Europe and abroad. The EMP will create a pool of highly qualified microfinance professionals who will ensure the future development of microfinance institutions worldwide in accordance with to the highest international standards. The European Microfinance Programme is the first microfinance education program with a European scope and perspective. It offers the combined expertise of academics and experts working in the field. Professors from three universities in Belgium, France and The Netherlands and practioners from the non-governmental organisation PlaNet Finance have collaborated to launch this joint program. »

- Conditions d’admission

Ce master complémentaire est ouvert, sous réserve d’acceptation du dossier d’admission, aux porteurs d’un grade académique de deuxième cycle dans une des disciplines suivantes : coopération au développement, économie, agronomie, management ou finances. D’autres qualifications peuvent exceptionnellement être acceptées.
